Synthetic Opal

General Information: Composition : Synthetic Opal is Composed of 70% Silica and 30% Resin. Can be cut shaped and polished with standard Lapidary Equipment and Procedures. Always use water to keep the material cool when working. A high polish can be obtained by buffing with Tripoli.

Shaped & Polished Items: Colours Black No 13 and White No 17 are the most popular colours No 15, No 1, and No 5 are the next most asked for, with a smaller request for the other colours.

Sizes: The larger Sizes, 8mm and Upwards, Oval and Rectangle, are much in Demand.

Delivery: Items usually take from 4-6 weeks for Manufacture and Delivery
